for guests to gather their holiday gifts and holiday
cards.
Use Your Local Club’s Website to Create Sales
Promote your fundraising efforts
on your local club’s website. For example, use
the banner ad to place on the home page. Or add
a link listing all of the locations where Rotary
notecards can be purchased and how anyone can participate
in the fundraiser. You can even enhance the sponsorship
appeal by creating a link to your sponsor's websites.
Take Advantage of Free Publicity
Local newspapers will publish group announcements
free of charge, so send them a press release about
your non-profit fundraising campaign. We have supplied
you with a press release format. Just add information
specific to your Rotary Club. Be sure to include
as much information as possible: what you are raising
money for, how people can contact you to help and
where you will be offering your Rotary notecards.
Ask Rotary Group Members to Sell
Fundraising Products in Their Workplace
Strategically
placing notecard boxes in the workplace is a great
way to sell notecards. These are a common sights
in office kitchens and front desks. Use order forms
for large orders where notecards might be purchased
as holiday cards and gifts.

Up Their Email Lists
Members can also use e-mail
to ask their coworkers, vendors and other professional
contacts to support your cause.
Include Your Non-Profit Fundraising
Efforts in Other Group Events
When your organization
has a meetings, special presentations, game night,
or other group events, be sure to have a table
promoting these beautiful notecards. Place the
point-of-purchase display to get noticed. You can
have the event emcee announce the notecard fundraiser
so that everyone knows the great cause you are
raising money for.
Go Where the Crowds Are
Ask different community retailers if you can set
up a table on the weekends. The more exposure the
better!
Recruit Plenty of Volunteers
Rely on your volunteer team to help you divide
all the tasks involved in running your fundraiser.

Share Fundraising Success Stories
Be sure to keep your Rotary Club up to date
on how the fundraiser is going. Use a simple thermometer
poster so everyone can easily see how much money
the group has made – and how close you are to your
goal. Ask members who are selling a lot to talk
about their methods. Your group will profit when
you share fundraising ideas that have worked for
others.
Place Cards in Gift and Card Stores
Place cards sets on consignment in your neighborhood
gift and card shops. They receive $5.00 for each
box sold and that still leaves a nice profit for
the club!
Christmas Tree Lots
Holidays is the perfect time to place the cards at
the neighborhood Christmas Tree Lot. They receive
$5.00 for each box sold and that still leaves a
nice profit for the club!
Interact Clubs
Create some buzz with your ‘Interact Club’ to get
them involved! Make the gift card sets a fundraiser
for them as well!
Business Gifts
Sell 10 to 50 boxes at a time to businesses. Real
Estate Brokers, Insurance Agents, Mortgage Brokers
to name a few! They all love to give holiday gifts
to their clients.
